Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy – June 28, 2025 — In a remarkable display of endurance and determination, Romanian ultra-runner Raúl Octaviu Butaci secured a 2nd place overall finish at the 2025 Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB® (120K), one of the world’s most iconic mountain ultramarathons.
Running for TEAM BIGK, Butaci crossed the finish line in Cortina at 11:02 AM local time on Saturday with a time of 12 hours, 2 minutes, and 9 seconds over 122.3 km and nearly 6,000 meters of vertical gain.
